A Van Stone flange is a type of pipe fitting used in plumbing and irrigation systems. It consists of two flanges, one loose and one fixed, that fit together to create a tight seal around a pipe.

The fixed flange is attached to PVC pipe by glue, while the loose flange slides over the end of the pipe and is held in place by a series of screws or bolts. The loose flange can be rotated to align with the bolt holes on the fixed flange, allowing for easy installation and removal of the pipe.

The advantage of the Van Stone flange is that it allows for easy disassembly and reassembly of the pipe without the need to cut and replace sections of the pipe. This makes it ideal for systems that require frequent maintenance or modifications
