IN142 vs IN142C – What's the Difference?
Both the IN142 and IN142C are 10" inline carbon filters with a 5-micron rating, designed to improve water taste and reduce unwanted odours.
The main difference is the connection type:
- IN142 – Features 1/4" BSPF (female threaded) connections, making it suitable for standard threaded installations and compatible with selected reverse osmosis systems, including the RU194-4.
- IN142C – Features 1/4" quick-connect (QC) push-fit connections, allowing for faster, tool-free installation with compatible 1/4" tubing. This connection type is commonly used in modern fridges and reverse osmosis systems.
